Oast House

Back in December last year we purchased this delightful Oast House near Tenterden in Kent.  It was built in 1845 and the original owners great grandfather took the square kilns down and converted it to the three roundels you see today. The building was used to dry hops until 2004 and was the last coal fired oast house in operation. Our aim is to convert the building into a substantial luxury home with separate garaging and office space.  Restoration has been under way for the past four months and good progress has been made.  We hope to complete the project by the Autumn. Currently we are in the midst of finalising planning matters, when this is concluded we will post more detail on our website.
